Screenshots are essential to comprehensive user manuals, presentations or guides, but taking multiple snapshots of the screen and saving them can take some time, especially with basic Windows tools. With Auto Screenshot Maker, screenshots can be created instantly, with a single click or by hitting a button on the keyboard. The application is capable of capturing the entire screen, a specific region or active windows and it can save them in different formats.

Installing Auto Screenshot Maker is not a difficult task. The setup wizard will guide you through a standard procedure, which does not involve anything else than agreeing to the terms and conditions, specifying a destination path, selecting a Start menu folder and creating shortcuts.

The software lets you decide what and how to capture, by selecting a few options, on a compact interface. You may click a button or use a keyboard shortcut to take a snapshot right away. Depending on your settings, the application will capture the screen, a targeted region of the screen or an active window.

You can also decide to save the screenshots as image files, to paste them in new MS Word documents or copy them to the clipboard. You just need to select these options and the software will execute them automatically when you take a new snapshot. Additionally, you may click different options to open the screenshots or to attach them to an email.

By default, output images and Word documents are saved directly on the desktop. In other words, after a simple click or keystroke, you will find the new screenshot immediately, without the need to browse through your folders. The software includes an automatic capturing feature as well. Once started, it will take snapshots continuously, until you stop it. You can set the program to capture the entire screen or active windows, at an interval of your choice.

Pros

The software can take snapshots on demand or continuously, until you stop it. You can set it to capture the entire screen, a defined area or an active window. Auto Screenshot Maker can automatically save screenshots as image files, paste them in MS Word documents or copy them to the clipboard.

Cons

When taking a snapshot, the software may capture its own interface, before minimizing it. With Auto Screenshot Maker, you don't need to save individual screenshots manually. It takes a single click or keystroke to create and save screenshots.
